The Mary Rethlake Memorial Fund for Alzheimer’s Disease Research
Mary Rethlake was a vibrant, outgoing, beautiful and loving woman who was coming into the golden years of her life when she became afflicted with Alzheimer’s. In December 2022, the disease not only took her life, but robbed her family of many years of her joyful presence.
Alzheimer's disease is not something which "just happens" to people when they get older. It is a neurological disease that gradually destroys the brain's ability to function, in some ways similar to brain cancer. It is always fatal.
Many in the medical community believe a cure for Alzheimer’s is on the horizon. But more research is needed to rid the planet of this scourge disease.
To honor all those who have experienced the devastating impact of this disease, please donate to the Mary Rethlake Memorial Fund for Alzheimer's Disease Research at Mayo Clinic using the features of this page. Any gift you give will help bring forward the day when a cure for Alzheimer's is found.
