Support FAITH! at Mayo Clinic
The FAITH! (Fostering African-American Improvement in Total Health) Program is a cardiovascular health promotion initiative grounded in faith and spirituality to advocate for health equity for African-Americans in Minnesota

About FAITH!
The FAITH! (Fostering African-American Improvement for Total Health!) Program was created by cardiologist Dr. LaPrincess Brewer to advocate for health equity. The FAITH! team conducts community-based participatory research and health promotion alongside community partners and aims to develop interventions that reduce — and ultimately eliminate — heart disease and heart health disparities in racial and ethnic minority populations and underserved communities.
Dr. Brewer hopes that her research and behavioral interventions will help narrow the gap in exemplary cardiovascular health outcomes among underserved groups. She also seeks to better elucidate the social determinants of cardiovascular health and how they contribute to racial and ethnic disparities in cardiovascular disease.

Fueling Community Impact Through FAITH!
Philanthropic support for the FAITH! program at Mayo Clinic strengthens trusted community connections and expands the program’s reach. Donor funding powers outreach events, community partnerships, and a Community Steering Committee that keeps community voices at the center of the work. It also enables strategic media outreach, branded FAITH! materials, and mission-driven events that raise awareness, inspire participation, and build lasting engagement—amplifying FAITH!’s impact where it matters most.
